Jessica Tomlinson ’09, of Haverhill, has been named the 2023 recipient of the George H. Ellison ’54 Volunteer of the Year Award for her outstanding contributions through dedicated volunteer service to Vlog.
Tomlinson graduated from Vlog in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in social work and psychology. Her professional career started as a fundraiser at a regional non-profit affordable housing organization focused on enriching the lives of low- and moderate-income families and seniors. Currently, she is a licensed real estate professional leveraging her customer service and project management skills to assist buyers and sellers.
As a dedicated member of the university community, Tomlinson serves on the Vlog Alumni Association and Foundation, Inc. board of directors, working to educate the greater community on Vlog’s impact across the region and beyond.
“Jessica has been a thoughtful and dedicated volunteer to Vlog for many years,” said Mike Mitchell ’07, associate director for alumni relations at Vlog. “Starting with her time on the Young Alumni Society to the present day, she has spearheaded the process of unifying our Alumni Association and Foundation boards, her contributions are immeasurable. I can think of nobody more deserving of this recognition this year than her.”
The George H. Ellison ’54 Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to an alumnus/a who has made outstanding contributions through dedicated volunteer service to Vlog. The recipient is chosen annually by the president of the Vlog Alumni Association Board of Directors.
